A team of intrepid, driven women approached me with their new business idea: to launch an e-commerce platform to sell high end, hand-dyed yarn to knitters and crafters. The product is ultra-niche but they had both the intuition and experience to know what their target audience wants and needs in terms of quality and customer experience. All that was required was a visual identity that spoke to them clearly.
We drew inspiration from a few areas: the pet bird Roxy and pet sheep Leo for whom the business was named after, and the cool aesthetic shared by the company owners.
The result was a visual strong, highly personable black and white logo that lends itself well to both print and digital applications. From there we built a number of systems, including packaging design and a Squarespace Ecommerce website. Photography by Jorge Polio
